Everyone, at some point in their life, has heard something along the lines of”exercise is supposed to be fun, do what you like and you will be fit and healthy”. This is a serious falsity. Daily chores like mowing the yard, gardening, vacuuming, and other straightforward tasks are not exercise.

See, there are lots of men and women who”enjoy” this type of activity and are led into the fact that this is ample exercise to be fit. These are everyday activities that your body needs just to burn basic calories in order to not keep an overage of fat. Other activities like walking, running, swimming, jogging, and more are great you are your heart and are enjoyable activities for most, but aren’t what your body needs in order to function efficiently.

Unfortunatelynonetheless, our society has been led to believe that this is sufficient. Look back to the old days where we had to actually work for everything we wanted, including food. Why; because they did not sit around on their bums watching TV and driving their cars to the nearest fast food restaurant for just about any meal.

But, that is beside the point. Appropriate exercise and fitness isn’t”fun”. Over time you may grow to enjoy it, but it’s by no means fun. In fact, it should hurt a little. Thus, what’s proper exercise? When you work to build and pull your muscles you’re working your body correctly. Working muscles is a tiring chore and it should hurt a bit during and following; this indicates you did a fantastic job.

In fact, this is where stretching comes in also. Be sure you stretch well before and after every work out and it will help to get rid of the stiffness of your joints and muscles, butback to exercising properly. See, your body requires more muscle than fat so as to work properly and efficiently. When you give your body what it needs, it really works for you instead of against you. When you do other”fun” exercises like walking and swimming you aren’t challenging your muscles as is needed.

This is the reason, over the years, we have become thicker and thicker. If these”fun” activities truly worked, would our society be suffering like it is health wise? It’s time to begin caring for ourselves and start focusing on proper exercise as opposed to fun activities. Interesting activities are for your spare time; proper exercise is for you sexy, sleek body and your wellbeing. If you have any plans to live a long life and enjoy your years with your grand and even great grandchildren, it is time to work your body like you’ve never worked it before. Walk if you must, but concentrate on muscle building at least 2-3 times a week for 20-30 minutes each time and you’ll quickly become a more energetic confident you.
